Our usual clients are boards of public and private companies, private equity institutions, family trusts and holding companies who are investigating a sale of their business or subsidiary. Common reasons for sale are the board’s realization that they lack the necessary size to compete globally, a strategic decision to exit a particular line of business, or simply a need or desire to realise value by the shareholders.  We create tailored sale processes specific to the circumstances of our clients’ businesses, the market, and their objectives.  Through our global relationships and contacts in the industrials sector we find the optimum outcome for employees, managers, and shareholders alike.

• Buy Side M&A:
  
  Steen provides advice to its clients on making acquisitions both for incorporation into existing businesses and as stand-alone investments.  This work ranges from formulating an acquisition strategy to identifying and approaching targets to negotiating and advising on deal dynamics.

• Special M&A:
  
  Some of our M&A work has fallen outside the conventional sell side parameters. We have acted for international banks contemplating receivership or administration for their industrial assets and found buyers for distressed assets thus ensuring a business is saved from bankruptcy. Due to the confidential nature of this work we have not advertised our clients and transactions in this area.
